REIKI Reiki is a subtle and effective form of energy healing which brings about healing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Reiki is based on the philosophy that there is a universal energy that supports the body's inherent self-healing abilities. Practitioners seek to access this energy, allowing it to flow to the body and facilitate the healing process. More and more Reiki is being recognized in settings such as hospitals, hospices, private practice, and in self-care as a complementary therapy for personal wellness and healing. |
TAROT Tarot cards first appeared in Italy in the 1450s, but unlike today, they were only used to play card games. It wasn't until the 18th century that the cards were first used as a divination tool.
The deck is divided into two parts; the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana comprises 22 of the 78 cards in the deck and are generally believed to represent the querents current situation in life's journey. The Minor Arcana--Swords, Cups, Wands, Pentacles--provides more clarity with day-to-day situations in relation to any Major Arcana cards in the spread. |
NUMEROLOGY The idea of “numerology” has been with us from very early times. Pythagoras, and other philosophers, proposed that because mathematical concepts are easier to define and classify than physical ones, they had greater actuality. “Numbers are the Universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth,” wrote St. Augustine (A.D. 354-430).
Today, we use a combination of the year we are in, birth dates, and the number alphabet, to define individually the influences of the world around us and our place in it. |
ASTROLOGY Astrology is the study of the movements and positions of celestial bodies, and how these cosmic relationships affect the querent as he/she moves through the ever-changing energy fields based on time/place.
Astrology’s use has been dated as far back as the 2nd millennium BCE. Modern, Western astrology is often associated with the “horoscope” system to explain and predict a person’s personality, and to predict and explain aspects of life events. |

CRYSTAL THERAPY Crystal healing is a technique that uses the various frequencies and colors of stones and crystals to make adjustments in the body’s energy grid to promote healing in mind, body, spirit, and create a sense of overall well-being. In some cases, the practitioner places crystals on different parts of the individual’s body, often corresponding to the chakras.
Energy grids can also be constructed on or around the body using various combinations of stones to achieve energetic alignment and deepen meditative states. |
MEDIUMS / PAST LIVES The medium acts as an intermediary between the world of the living and the world of spirit. They can listen to and relay messages from spirits, or that they can allow a spirit to control their body and speak through it directly. Channeling is sometimes considered the modern form of mediumship, where the channeler receives messages departed loved ones, an Ascended Master, or an angelic entity.
Mediums can often help a person discover their past lives and karmic interactions to shed light on people, actions, and events in their present life. |
PALMISTRY Palm reading, or Chiromancy, consists of evaluating/reading a person's palm to determine personality and future events. A reader usually begins by reading the person's dominant hand, which is sometimes considered to represent the conscious mind, whereas the other hand is subconscious. Examining the shape of the hand and fingers, and the three major lines—heart, head, and life—the reader can help seekers gain insights into their lives and karmic past.

SHAMANIC TRADITIONS Shamans are intermediaries or messengers between the human world and the spirit worlds. Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by mending the soul. By alleviating traumas that affect the person’s soul/spirit restores the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness.
Shamanism is based on the premise that the visible world is pervaded by invisible forces or spirits which affect the lives of the living: thus, shamans tend to use a variety of modalities in their work such as: connecting with animal spirit guides, divination, casting bones, or making herbal treatments with native medicinal plants. |
